How to Report Statistics

• Email - You can email (attachments welcome, but not required - in almost any format) game stats to: email address
• Fax: You can fax game stats to: (203) 738-1557. There may be long distance charges for using this number.
• Contact Page: You can enter game stats in our Contact Page and submit them.
We also can utilize any complete game stats that are reported and published online through a newspaper website.
• Scores can be reported during and after a game via text message to (218) 290-2942.  We encourage the use of this often, both during and after games!!!
*A Note To Those Coaches who have faxed in your scoresheets on a regular basis, we would like to thank you!  This is the best way to ensure your stats are up to date and accurate!

What to Report

You should only report stats by the game, and they should include ALL of the following information FOR BOTH TEAMS:
Ideally a copy of the official scoresheet from the game would be the best option, as long as it is legible.  When that is not possible, the next items on this list should be used.
• For each period - Goals scored in this format: Team, Goal Scorer (Assists) Time of Goal, PP/SH/EN, Goaltender that allowed the goal.
• For each goaltender (in the order they played) - Time played, saves by period (overall total not necessary), win/loss/tie/ND. Be sure to include empty net time.
• For each penalty - Period, Player, Penalty, Minutes, Time of Penalty.
• DO NOT send us Max Prep Stats. We cannot enter stats in this format (see below).
• DO NOT send us a list of players with their current goal and assist totals. Again, we cannot enter stats in this format (see below).
• Only scores should be reported via text message, please do not report stats through this medium.

Why Stats Have to Be Reported By The Game

Our stats system is designed to track games, not players.  We can only go to a particular game and enter stats for the game, we cannot lookup a player and alter his point totals - it must be done by altering a game entry.  If there are inaccuracies in the stat totals, the game where the error occurred must be identified and the scoring for that particular goal changed.  We have no other way to change the numbers.  The player stats listed on the website are taken by the computer from our database by going through all of the games that particular player played in and counts the goals and assists, and then displays them.  Our database does not store any totals for any particular player, it is always calculated when the page is loaded.  This system allows us to be able to track where the points came from, whether or not they were conference games, playoff games, shorthanded, powerplay, etc.; plus it allows us to show box scores for each game and player stats without having to enter information more than one time.
