With the new season rapidly appoaching - we would like to throw out a few reminders for our fans. Last year, we successfully collected stats from 451 of the 453 games played by teams we covered and we are still in need of stats from the last two missing games. If anyone has the stats for the Duluth Central vs. Pine City/Rush City game on Feb. 9th, we are looking for that game (primarily the Duluth Central goaltending stats). We are also looking for the playoff game between St. Francis and Cambridge-Isanti on Feb. 16th. As always, you can fax, email, mail, or use our contact page to get them to us! (Our information is on the contact page!) We would also like to thank the coaches who sent in their stats and/or corrections throughout the season last year and encourage those of you who did not to do so - it makes life much easier on us, and it is very much appreciated and only takes a minute of your time!

• A note to coaches and statisticians, our stats from last year will be used again this year to track career stats of players, so if there are any corrections, please get them to us. We can make corrections until the new season kicks off in November. Once again, if you don't already have the information, you can get that to us through the info on our contact page or by using the contact page itself. Thank you!

• Despite the successful year we had last year, it was by far the worst year we have had in collecting donations. We did not crack the $100 mark for the entire season, which is kind of pathetic (for lack of a better word) when compared to the years past where we have gone over $1200 every year. We still need your help financially!!! We want to offer so much more, and now have the capabilities technology-wise to do so, but we need your help! Lets make sure we at least get the funds in order to get our audio streaming project off the ground next year! (See article farther down this page.)

• We are looking at adding more coverage next year for section 5A. Due to the location of may of these teams, and the fact that there is no major online news outlet for many of these teams, it will require mostly direct contact from the teams with us in order to get timely statistics and information. We would also consider adding Superior and Ashland, Wisconsin due to the their presence in the Lake Superior Conference. At this time, we will add any of the following teams if they choose to participate and send in copies of their score sheets on a regular basis next year: St. Cloud Cathedral, Sauk Rapids-Rice, Pine City/Rush City, Mora/Hinckely-Finlayson, Moose Lake Area, North Branch, Superior, and Ashland. For those interested, all that is required is that we get your schedules and rosters before the season, and that you fax (or email) us a copy of your score sheets after each game. We also need to know any roster changes and cancellations or schedule changes that occur during the season. That's it, we'll do the rest! Let us know if you are interested (again, our info is on our contact page), and we will get you more details!

• Lastly, we would like to offer our continuing congratulations to the reigning section champions Duluth Marshall, Cloquet/Esko/Carlton, and St. Cloud Cathedral!

As many of you may have seen on the ticker that was running atop this page for a few weeks at the end of last season, we are looking to stream live audio of area games. We had hoped to raise the funds in time to do a few games last year, but we have received just $65 to put towards the equipment we need to purchase and to pay the fees to get the feeds online. We still want to pursue this for the upcoming year, and now is the time to help out so we can start setting a schedule and making arrangements. Any extra funds will be used to pay for other site expenses and be put away for a future effort to start video streaming.

We do not plan to compete with games that are already scheduled to be streamed by other local carriers. All of our streams will be games that would otherwise not be available to listen to online. Our goal is to get more games available to internet users who can't get to the game, are stuck at work, or live out of the area. The amount of games we do will solely depend on the number of donations we receive and the number of sponsors we can attract. With your help we can have a nice schedule set up for next season. Let's not wait until next season is half over to try garner up the funds!
