Why Donate?

First of all, this site is not operated for any profit of any kind!  However, there are some people that put a lot of hard work into this and there are some costs invlolved with operating the site.  Your donation ensures the site can continue operating and keeps the advertising on the site to a minimum.  Hours and hours of work go into this site on a daily basis, and much of it is done after most people go to bed!  While the people behind the scenes here do this for the love of the game, and to help get some exposure for northland hockey teams, it would be nice to offer up some kind of reward for their hard work.  Also, in the future, we would like to expand our technologies, perhaps to include live scoring/stat updates or streaming audio and video.  Without any financial help, this will never be possible.  Lastly, our contract with our former host where section7hockey.com was (and still is) found has finally expired.  Due to unexpected site popularity, this became an expensive three year venture.  We will keep the old site online for another year, since it has limited use.  We are doing this mainly so people can find us at our new site and give us time this summer to transfer the stat databases over to our new host.

At the time this page was written, we have not received one penny from advertising or donations since last March.  Let`s not let it come to what happened last year when we were pulled offline for a few days due to lack of funds!  Donate now by using the buttons at the top of the page.  Our mailing address is on the bottom of out Contact Page for those who wish to send a check or money order.  Please note that PrepHockeyNorth does not have a bank account, so please leave the pay to line blank or make it out either to Cash or Jamie Okland.  Thank you for your help!
